“New York Is For Lovers” Launch Recap
Posted: Dec 09 2015
Last Tuesday, December 1st 2015 – on a rainy and gloomy evening – we celebrated World AIDS Day by hosting the launch event of "New York Is For Lovers" at a pop-up space in Soho NYC.
Throughout the night a packed house of friends and family joined us in releasing a project we've been working on for nearly 2 years and felt truly honored to finally share. We greatly appreciate all of the kind words and support as we continue to present our vision, as well as the future of what we can do as a business.
Many thanks again to the incredible team at amfAR for understanding our goal and allowing us to help in the on-going battle against HIV/AIDS.
Thanks to 1800 Tequila for supplying us with incredible cocktails all evening and allowing us to display the highly limited Keith Haring collab bottles which also celebrate his estate's own charitable efforts.
Thanks to Gerard and his team at Tsingtao for providing our audience with their unique beer and brand experience.
Also, major shouts to our friend and NYC skate legend Piro Sierra for coming by and skating with us. In case you don't know Piro, he's the dude who shredded a pair of Yeezy 350s. Piro didn't shred our joints though. Instead he put on a lil show for the crowd and took home his pair fully intact.
Last but far from least, words cannot express how incredibly thankful I am to PUMA for providing a global platform to not only communicate this story, but trusting in me to do it the right way. I am forever grateful to Yassine, Sarah, Nuwoe, Teresa, Neil, Scott and the entire team for all of the kindness and support that's been shown. It has been a tremendous pleasure to work with you.
This was a long journey and I truly appreciate everyone who participated, helped and supported. On behalf of our entire RISE team, thank you all 3,000,000 times.
